Digital Standard, Inc. ("DSI") knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy. By visiting DSI's websites located at www.dsimobile.com, www.sakivip.com, www.mysaki.com, www.sakimobile.com, www.sakipro.com or other DSI sites (collectively, the "DSI Websites"), you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.
The information we learn from customers helps us deliver a superior level of customer service. It enables us to give you convenient access to our products and services and focus on categories of greatest interest to you. In addition, your personal information helps us keep you posted on the latest product announcements, software updates, special offers, and events that you might like to hear about.
Personal Information
We receive and store any information you enter on the DSI Websites or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests and communicating with you.
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. We obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses the DSI Websites. A number of companies offer utilities designed to help you visit websites anonymously. Although we will not be able to provide you with a personalized experience at the DSI Websites if we cannot recognize you, we want you to be aware that these tools exist.
We compare our customer list to lists received from other companies in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our customers. If you subscribe to wireless services offered by DSI (the "SakiT Mobile Services") or other services provided by DSI, your ability to opt out of receiving certain e-mails, communications and other content will be limited to specified e-mails, communications and other content for which an opt out election is provided by DSI. We might receive information about you from other sources and add it to our account information.
Cookies
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide various features. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, cookies allow you to take full advantage of some of the DSI Websites' coolest features, and we recommend that you leave them turned on.
Disclosure of Information
DSI takes your privacy very seriously. Be assured that DSI does not sell or rent your contact information to other marketers. To help us provide superior service, your personal information may be shared with legal entities within the DSI group globally who will safeguard it in accordance with DSI's privacy policy. There are also times when it may be advantageous for DSI to make certain personal information about you available to companies that DSI has a strategic relationship with or that perform work for DSI to provide products and services to you on our behalf. These companies may help us process information, extend credit, fulfill customer orders, deliver products to you, manage and enhance customer data, provide customer service, market additional services or content, assess your interest in our products and services, or conduct customer research or satisfaction surveys. These companies are also obligated to protect your personal information in accordance with DSI's policies. Without such information being made available, it would be difficult for you to purchase products, have products delivered to you, receive customer service, provide us feedback to improve our products and services, or access certain services, offers, and content on the DSI Websites.
At times we may be required by law to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary.
Protection of Your Personal Information
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer software, which encrypts certain information you input such as your credit card number during order processing.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer. Change your passwords often using a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure web browser.
Terms of Use and Privacy Notice
If you choose to visit the DSI Websites, your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Notice and our Terms of Use, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of the law of the State of Texas. If you have any concern about privacy at the DSI Websites, please contact us with a thorough description, and we will try to resolve it.
In addition, if you subscribe for SakiT Mobile Services, your use of the SakiT Mobile Services will be subject to the terms of your SakiT Subscriber License Agreement as well as our Terms of Use and Privacy Notice.
Our business changes constantly, and our Privacy Notice and the Terms of Use will change also. Although we may e-transmit periodic reminders of our notices and conditions, we are not obligated to do so. You should also check the DSI Websites frequently to see recent changes. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Notice applies to all information that we have about you and your account.
